Our Coffees

We purchase only the highest-grade green coffee available from all over the world. Green coffee can be stored for long periods and remain virtually unchanged until roasted. Once roasted, however, the freshness clock starts ticking. It is estimated that within 2 weeks from roasting, approximately 50% of the flavor and aroma are gone.

At MJRC, we roast all our coffee in small batches on the premises. This ensures that the coffee we sell is as fresh as it can be. Choose from any of our selections with confidence in what, "…taste no evil" really means.

Coffee yeilds in 2011 decreased while demand increased. This trend will likely continue and effect the availability of some coffees. We will notify you and suggest substitutes if this happens.

Coffees from India

Monsoon Malabar $13.99/lb.

When coffee was transported in the hulls of ships it was subjected to water and dampness, which resulted in a unique taste profile. To mimic this, these beans are left out to "monsoon". This coffee is full bodied, heavy on the palate, with a hint of spice. Smooth, with muted acidity.

The Peaberry coffee plant's cherries contain only 1 coffee bean, whereas other coffee plant cherries contain 2 beans. This results in stronger flavor… For those who like the heartier cup, this Brazilian is bolder and more fragrant than the Santos!
