Tea Preparation
Notes for tea preparation:
- Use one level teaspoonful of tea per cup
- Full leaf teas can produce more that one cup per teaspoonful, so resteep!
- Time your tea properly, oversteeping can create a bitter brew
- Black Tea
- Use boiling water and steep about 3-5 minutes
- Green Tea
- Use water below the boil, steep about 1-3 minutes
- Herbal Tea (infusions)
- Use boiling water and steep 3 minutes or longer to taste
- One ounce of tea will yield about 12 to 18 cups of tea
